Gas Grill Fire next to Structure

 

04/09/2009 - At 1616 hours, Company 20 and Carroll County Station 6 units were dispatched for a gas grill fire next to a structure.  Engine 201, Rescue 20, ET-20 and Ambulance 20A responded to find a partially burnt gas grill on a deck that the home owner had extinguished with water.  The gas grill was fueled from a hose run from the house's gas line.  There was a bad connection from hose to grill, causing the leaking gas to ignite.  Company 20 held Engine 201 and Ambulance 20A to the scene and all other units were placed in service.  Units cleared the scene at 1634 hours.
