Fatal MVA on Route 97

 

09/23/2009 - Company 20 was dispatched at 0445 hours for a vehicle accident with entrapment on Route 97 in the area of Miller Road.  Units responded quickly and found a single vehicle that came to rest partially blocking the southbound lane of Route 97 after striking a tree head on.  As a result of the crash, the driver succumbed to their injuries prior to the arrival of emergency personnel.  The Alpha Fire Company No. 1 sends its deepest condolences to the victim's family and friends.
